Queer Made Clear (The making of a great Ally)

Greetings from CII Yi Bengaluru!

Yi Bengaluru is organizing a virtual session on "Queer Made Clear" (The making of a great Ally) scheduled on Sat, 12th March

from 5.30 pm to 7 pm.

The Session will be focussing on the below points:

· Understanding Sex, Gender & Sexuality: Knowing the difference between the three and the Genderbread Man.

· Familiarising with Common Terms: Understanding often repeated words, the differences between them.

· Challenges Faced by the Queer: Day-to-day, real-life challenges encountered by the queer and how their life is different.

· Busting a few Myths: Uncovering the prejudices and biases we were brought up believing.

· Socio-Cultural Perspective: Understanding how perspectives about the LGBTQIA+ have undergone change over the years.

· Being a great Ally: Answering the questions 'what could we do? where do we start? how far do we go?'
